The mission of SIR is the sustainable growth of human beings by empowering them socially, economically, educationally and physically,. We dream to form such a society, where is no place for the identity of caste, region, religion, language, income, etc. Everybody of the society could feel pleasure in helping others without any expectation and everybody try not to be dependent upon others for help but keep trying on one's own. There should be a friendly, loving, sacrificing, emotional, moral, professional, accountable, and positive environment to lead a cheerful life. The goal of SIR is to reduce the drudgery of common people. The drudgery might be related with consumption i.e. Economical, or access/recognition i.e. Social factor, knowledge i.e. Education, or health i.e. Physical factors. SIR has developed the DPR of Rashtriya Sam Vikas Yojana, initiated by Planning Commission, Government of India, for district- Hamirpur and district- Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh (Budget: Rs. 45.00 Crore for each district).
It was welcomed, sanctioned and successfully implemented. Later on, on the vision of then President of India, Hon'ble APJ Abdul Kalam, a DPR on PURA scheme for district- Azamgarh was developed by SIR to Provide Urban Amentias in Rural Areas (PURA). For the rural development and agriculture promotion, Special Component Plan for Horticulture promotion among farmers has been carried out in district- Shahjahanpur sponsored by Horticulture Department, U.P. Agriculture Training Programs, Agriculture Exhibition Programs, Self Employment Generation Program, Horticulture Training Programs, Micro Enterprises Development Programs under RSVY, sponsored by Ministry of Rural Development, GOI, have been carried out in Azamgarh. Prime Minister Rojgar Yojana Training Program and many Entrepreneurial Development Programs have been successfully implemented in district- Lucknow, Raebareli, Sultanpur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Hardoi, Azamgarh, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kushinagar, Jaunpur, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Mau, Ghazipur, Ballia, etc. Urban Reproductive and Child Health in Lucknow, funded by European Commission and Government of India, was carried out, about 34 female workers at slum areas were directly associated with the project. Moreover, SIR has two Master Trainers on Women and Child development issues trained by NIPCCD, a division of Deptt of Women & Child Development, GOI, and New Delhi. SIR has got its two associates trained by NARI, Pune on Counseling on HIV/AIDS on the recommendation of UPSACS under the guidelines of NACO.
SIR has been designing & developing the Training Modules for the capacity building/training of all functionaries of different departments (Revenue, Social Welfare, Education, PDS, Health) at the district level for Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) through UPAAM. Moreover, The Training Need Analysis (TNA) of Revenue department and Educations sector of district- Jhansi have been conducted for Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) through UPAAM. SIR has been conducting capacity building/training programs at the village, Block/ district level with the active support of elected representatives & functionaries of PRIs in more than 40 districts of UP. SIR has been simultaneously working in 13 districts of U.P. with the support of sufficient qualified staff and infra-structure available. The capability of conducting training programs in vast rural areas, mobilizing active support of elected representatives/functionaries of PRIs and of simultaneously working in many districts will be helpful in carrying out the programs at the large number successfully.
SIR has been carrying out different community mobilization projects in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. There is Diversified Agriculture Support Project in all 15 Blocks of district- Shahjahanpur under UPDASP, Lucknow for the promotion of agriculture and allied sectors for the poverty alleviation. There is Sankalp Project for the promotion of health awareness and behavior change of the family of insured persons under ESIC in 4 districts (Kanpur, Unnao, Farrukhabad, and Jhansi) in U.P. supported by ESIC and HLFPPT. There has been 'Targeted Intervention Project to prevent HIV/AIDS in FSWs in Hardoi', sponsored by U.P. State AIDS Control Society, Lucknow. There is STEP Exporters Project initially in Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Varanasi districts of U.P. with the financial support of STEP Label-Maxhavelaar Foundation, Switzerland. Furthermore, for women empowerment "Swayamsidha" Project, sponsored by Ministry of HRD, GOI was been carried out at Tiloi, district- Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar (CSM Nagar) with the support of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), earlier was part of Raebareli, (U.P.), about 1250 rural women are being directly interacting with the organization. SIR has been providing technical & field level support for the monitoring and documentation of IEC activities- Mobile Van in 11 districts and Folk Troupes (Street Plays) in 40 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, SIR has bee reviewing and developing IEC materials and Newsletter of M.P.
